Trade School feature

The Riverland Weekly last week had a feature on Trade Schools, and on RMT.Australian School Based Apprenticeships (ASBAs) offer a great alternative career pathway for students. We have students currently undertaking ASBAs in Agriculture, Irrigation, Production Horticulture, Business Administration, Business Administration (Education). Many will continue in their work role full time when they leave school. Others are using their ASBA as a means of gaining skills and to show their employability to get into TRADE apprenticeships such as automotive, welding and plumbing. Some parents who have a business or farming property are employing their child or a relative thus giving them a head start in employment. Some students are using the School based apprenticeship (sometimes called a traineeship) to gain practical experience and using it as a pathway into a university or tertiary program for example a Certificate III in Agriculture before applying to do an Agriculture Science undergraduate program. To find out more about Trade Schools and ASBAs contact Riverland Trade School 85952676
