FDF30403 Certificate III in Food Processing (Wine)

Certificate III in Food Processing (Wine) offered at RMT is designed for people working in the wine industry who want to gain skills in the operations and practices across a wide range of winery activities. You will develop the skills and knowledge to enable you to work safely and efficiently in running processes, to assist others in their work and/or supervise others. You will also learn how to monitor food safety (HACCP) programs, quality programs and occupational health and safety systems and procedures.

After achieving a Certificate I or II in Food Processing (Wine)
OR
With vocational experience in the wine industry without a formal qualification

An employee/person may enter directly into a Certificate III in Food Processing (Wine). Credit for units completed in a lower level qualification can be transferred and counted towards a higher level qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Do you have work skills and knowledge that are not recognised by a formal qualification? You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning which will reduce your training time as well as the cost of the course. Discuss your RPL needs with an RMT training manager prior to enrolment.

Students will need access to a computer and the internet. For students who do not have access to either a computer or the internet please let your RMT trainer know prior to enrolment.

Minimum specifications for the computer are:

  • Microsoft Office 2007 or equivalent, and
  • Microsoft Windows 98, or
  • Mac OS X, and
  • CD-ROM drive.

Students will also need access to a printer and the following free applications, downloadable from the internet:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader and
  • Macromedia Flash player.
