Certificate IV Business Administration
This course builds on the skills taught in the Certificate III in Business, lifting your ability to be a manager to a more competent level. The course is appropriate for people working in a medium sized enterprise or a business unit of a large enterprise in a middle management role.
It covers the areas essential in good management, such as developing teams, goal oriented problem solving and decision making, effective change processes and staff recruitment. This course ensures that you will be well equipped to handle all areas of management, in a skilful and productive manner.
Length of study
The length of this course is 12 months full-time and 18 months part-time. (Approximately 10-20 hours should be given to complete each unit - depending on your subject knowledge and time spent on study sessions)

Which qualification level?
Qualification levels reflect the level of responsibility in you work. If your role is mainly supervisory (eg Coordinator), or you have considerable autonomy within a specialist area, or you want to develop supervisory skills in anticipation of career advancement then consider Certificate IV.
If you are responsible for making policy decisions and have considerable autonomy in you work then consider the Diploma.
