Certified Irrigation Agronomist
If you have a current qualification in agriculture, horticulture or agronomy then you may be eligible to become a Certified Irrigation Agronomist..
Industry experience
You must have at least three years relevant and documented experience as an advisor, consultant or irrigation manager

Enrolment
You can start your course at any time - there are no semester or course date to wait for. There are two options for enrolment: Firstly you can fill out the enrolment form and post or fax back to RMT or you can fill out the online enrolment form.
Course units
This certification has been aligned with the national irrigation qualifications to provide a standard, accepted way to describe and recognise skills and knowledge. As a Certified Irrigation Agronomist you will be able to prove that you can meet at least 6 of the following 9 competencies:
- RTE4602A Determine hydraulic parameters for an irrigation system
- RTE5601A Audit (evaluate) irrigation systems
- RTE4605A Schedule irrigation
- RTE4604A Determine seasonal irrigation scheduling tasks
- RTE4609A Implement, monitor and adjust irrigation schedules
- RTE4511A Develop a soil use map for a property
- RTE5604A Develop an irrigation and drainage management plan
- RTE5605A Establish and maintain an irrigation related environmental protection program
- RTC5801A Provide specialist advice to clients
