Project Management

This program is designed for people who are typically managing short term one-off jobs with a defined start and end date that require detailed planning and team work to ensure smooth implementation.

Trained project managers
If your organisation provides project-based services or develops customised products or services, then essentially your production system is reliant on the project management skills of your staff.

Alternatively, your staff may need to project manage the services and products procured by your organisation.

The same skill sets are required. Having efficient and reliable project managers will enhance your organisation’s reputation and minimize the risk of expensive budget and time blow-outs and re-work.

Learn anywhere anytime
RMT has developed facilitated eLearning training solutions for many of its areas of study, including project management. This means our training participants can choose when and where to do their study. And there isn’t the added expense of travel. Participants can time their learning to coincide with opportunities to apply skills within he workplace. We utilize interactive learning techniques available online (also available on CDROM if preferred). Such techniques have been shown to reduce learning time and increase learning effectiveness compared to conventional workshops.

Faciltator guidance
RMT learning solutions also include regular contact with a Facilitator. This person assists training participants to apply learning to their specific workplace project, and also check that key principles and processes are being understood.

Learn through our 3 step process See, Try and Apply
Our resources are set out in a common sense See, Try and Apply process. Participants learn through considering case studies, trying steps in a simulated project, and then applying the steps on their own workplace project.

Nationally recognised project management skills
The Project Management program is accredited, and successful demonstration of project management skills in the workplace will see successful participants awarded a Statement of Attainment for BSBCMN419A Manage projects. (The unit can also count towards Frontline Management qualifications)

Length of program
Generally two months is sufficient time to complete the program, however timeframes for workplace projects may require a longer or shorter period.
